With fall around the corner, college students aren’t the only ones heading back to school. While campus recruiting has become a staple for talent leaders, many question the ROI of recruiting new grads and interns at on-campus events.

Cielo technology expert Adam Godson’s latest video shares three essential components to any successful campus events:

  • CRM ASAP: Have a CRM that will let you communicate quickly and frequently after the visit in a personalized way. This isn’t a data collection exercise – you can get that elsewhere. You go on campus to start to build relationships, so build them well.
  • Tech shortcuts: There is a transaction involved in meeting students. Use technology like iPads, text shortcodes or scanning to get those out of the way quickly so that you can then focus on the conversations.
  • Measure ROI by event: Odds are, you’re going to too many of these events without enough ROI, so make it a goal to cut the bottom 20% of them each year and either go to different events or pocket the savings. Unless you measure, you’ll never know.
Campus recruiting is all the things we love about recruiting – have a fun fall doing it!

A little bit about Adam: Since joining Cielo in 2011, he has been blazing trails in recruitment technology. Among his accomplishments are having developed and implemented the RPO industry’s first globally deployed Candidate Recruitment Marketing (CRM) platform and introducing such innovations as automated screening and assessment tools, robotic process automation support, virtual career fairs, and platforms for analytics and talent intelligence.
