Kleinwort Hambros is Societe Generale's private banking and wealth management division in the UK. Kleinwort Hambros helps individuals, families, entrepreneurs, charities and their advisers to manage their financial assets. They have approximately 700 employees across 8 locations; London, Newbury, Cambridge, Leeds, Edinburgh, Jersey Guernsey and Gibraltar.

The Challenge

Kleinwort Hambros wanted to bring in diverse early talent into the business to help more people access a career in the financial services industry. A 22-month apprenticeship scheme was devised that would provide the opportunity for apprentices to acquire on the job experience, while gaining a professional qualification in a structured framework.

Kleinwort Hambros did not have a recruitment process in place that specifically targeted this entry level so partnered with their existing talent acquisition partner, Cielo, to provide the framework and expertise to fulfil the 14 positions they were looking to hire.

The Solution

Cielo devised the entire end to end recruitment process to include, marketing collateral, sourcing strategies, and recorded video interviews via their internal recruiting technology platform SkyRecruit. As well as establish the recruitment campaign, internal comms and engaged in recruitment marketing using the Kleinwort Hambros brand. 

The Results

Through all the outreach channels, 4000 applications were received and reviewed. 100 candidates were shortlisted and sent a video request to complete 4 interview questions resulting in 50 one to one interview requests from hiring managers. As a result, all 14 apprenticeship roles were offered and accepted to start in November 2020.
