In its tenth year, the annual HRO Today Services and Technology Association (formerly HROA) Awards honor the leaders driving positive change in the Human Resources industry.
Under the theme “Be Informed – Recognizing Great Business Outcomes in HR,” the 2014 awards recognize those organizations that have made significant contributions to the HRO industry on a global scale. The winning partnership between Cielo and BI was chosen for its successful deployment of a “recruitment prevention” strategy and new technologies that achieved measurable strategic business results and process improvements for BI.
Though BI had previously leveraged Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), the firm wanted to evolve its talent acquisition function for greater business support and alignment with its culture of innovation. Recognizing a cultural match, Cielo and BI partnered to achieve these objectives, transitioning immediate requisition fulfillment while simultaneously designing and implementing a new recruiting model. This new model features a centralized process and a localized organizational structure for BI’s recruitment function. For BI's major job functions—pharmaceutical commercial, technology and manufacturing, science, and corporate administration and support positions—Cielo and BI also created specialized alignment and skills matching to best meet the firm's niche recruitment needs.
The strategic impact of Cielo and BI's partnership during its first two years included a savings of $3 million in agency fees; 25% reduction in average open requisitions per month; 20% reduction in time-to-fill; 25% reduction in average age of open requisitions; 70% reduction in requisitions aged more than 90 days; and an increase in hiring manager satisfaction across all categories.
