Donna Boles is the former Senior Vice President, Human Resources of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a global medical technology company headquartered in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. Ms. Boles joined BD in 1973 and held various positions of increasing responsibility in Corporate as well as in several BD businesses. In 2001, she was named Vice President, Human Resources for BD Medical, BD’s largest business segment, a position she held until 2005, when she was appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources.
Ms. Boles has been a member of the Board of Directors for CST Brands, Inc. since May 2013, serving as Compensation Committee Chair. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern New Jersey since 2004 where she served as Chair (2010-2012) and currently is on the Executive Committee. Ms. Boles is a member of the Board of Directors for the Berkeley College Foundation, Inc. and a member of the Executive Leadership Council. She served on the Advisory Board of the Center for Human Resource Strategy at Rutgers University and was a member of the HR Advisory Councils of the Conference Board where she served as an Executive Committee member.
Savoy Magazine named Ms. Boles as one of the “Top Influential Women in Corporate America” in 2012. The Network Journal magazine named Ms. Boles as one of the “25 Influential Black Women in Business” in 2011. Black Enterprise magazine named Ms. Boles as one of the “75 Most Powerful Women in Business” in 2010. She was also listed among “100 Women Worth Watching” in 2007 by Diversity Journal.
Mike O’Boyle holds more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, serving the provider, payer and service sectors. Most recently, he was a senior officer for HCA Holdings, serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Parallon Business Solutions. Before this, from 2008 to 2011, he was President of UnitedHealth Networks (UHN), a division of United Health Group, managing contractual and service relationships with providers serving their commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and veterans and military lines of business. UHN served United’s 25 million members through a national network of 5,000 hospitals, more than700, 000 physicians, and thousands of ancillary providers.
From 2005 through 2008, Mr. O’Boyle served as Chief Operating Officer of Cleveland Clinic, annually ranked among the country’s top hospitals by US News and World Report. He was not only responsible for operations on the main campus in Cleveland, but oversaw the organization’s regional hospitals and clinics in Ohio and Florida and their international ventures. He joined Cleveland Clinic in 2001 as its Chief Financial Officer, driving improvements to the organization’s financial health after a period of declining performance.
For 10 years prior, Mr. O’Boyle was a corporate officer with MedStar Health and one of its legacy organizations, the Medlantic Healthcare Group, serving most recently as MedStar’s Executive Vice president and Chief Financial Officer. He was instrumental in the formation of MedStar through the merger of Medlantic and Helix Health.
Mr. O’Boyle serves on the Board of Trustees of St. Catherine University and the Board of Directors of The Greenspring Fund, and was a past Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of Hospital Billing and Collection Service, Inc. and the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board.
